Founded in 2022 by David and Cooper Maschmeier, Yule Sober Living is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ individuals in recovery. Our mission is to empower residents to continue their journey toward lasting sobriety while fostering a sense of community and belonging. As a non-profit, we are dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality housing where individuals can connect with like-minded peers, access resources for personal growth, and build a stable foundation for a healthier, brighter future.

In Loving Memory
"In loving memory of my best friend, confidant, and brother, Derrick Adam Yule. We shared countless memories, like exploring Mexico, talking for hours on the phone and late nights out on the town, getting ourselves into trouble.
In 2015, we packed up and moved to Dallas, ready to chase our dreams, support each other, and laugh our way through anything that came our way.

Derrick was my rock. He was always there when life got tough, and was loyal to the core. His sudden passing in January 2021 still feels surreal. To keep his spirit alive, I've started a non-profit in his name, ensuring his warmth and kindness continue to touch lives. Even though he's gone, Derrick's love and impact remain as strong as ever in our hearts. Rest easy my friend."
